For anything ordered through Fullscript, you’ll receive an e-mail directly to your inbox with your provider’s recommendations and instructions on how to pay. For Beyond Balance, DesBio and Vital Plan, we have discount codes that are available to Ravel patients and you’ll order directly through their respective sites. All supplements are delivered directly to your door. 

At this time, our providers are not able to prescribe anything that falls into the ‘controlled substances’ category.

When ordering medication for patients, Ravel providers (and/or our overseeing MD) write prescriptions that are then used by the pharmacy to complete your order. Ravel itself doesn’t run any Rx through private insurance, as we’re a cash-pay platform, however, you may work directly with the pharmacy and either pay with cash or submit to your insurance company. 

Each state has its own laws and regulations regarding prescriptions and treatment. In some states, there are specific restrictions on the scope of practice for Ravel providers, including limitations on prescribing. These regulations can vary between states and provider types (e.g., MD, DO, NP, ND). That said, in any state where your provider might be limited, we have an overseeing MD who’s licensed in all 50 states who can review and order recommended medications on their behalf (please note there is an extra fee for this).

While Ravel is not able to legally bill through Medicare or Medicaid, Medicare patients can work directly with the lab to get certain testing covered, assuming the lab is ‘opted in’ to Medicare. Medicaid rules differ state-to-state. If you’re looking to submit labwork to Medicaid, please check with the program in your state for details on coverage.
